This is a great idea. Unfortunately I don’t have the space for it. I wanted to get an electrical mini bike and make a little race trim my yard but the one I wanted is apparently discontinued. I want electric do my neighbors won’t complain about the engine sounds

I dropped an 18v battery in my kids powerwheels and now they can drift in the basement. Looking forward to the weather breaking a bit so we can take it outside.

When I was in high school, the local go-cart/Putt-Putt place had two tracks, a road course and an oval. They would put talc powder down on the oval and run 8 cars side-by-side. It was like a dirt flat track with go-carts. We’d go sliding around the oval , constantly trying to bump each other into the wall. It was so much fun.

This is the answer to hyper active kids locked inside.

It helps. And it does my heart proud to see him drifting and adding a dab of  oppo as he’s rounding the turns.  That thing really screams with a few extra volts.  It has a controller to dial down the voltage and in turn the speed, but it didn’t last too long at any other setting other than full beans.

Someone bought a young relative a mini 4 wheeler for Christmas so I came over and hooked up the battery etc. Some doctoring of the governor to hamper ability to reduce power and him receiving in depth instructions of how to reverse said pre-destined attempt by grandparents was job #1.

There is something absurdly comical about kids whaling on those little electric vehicles like your son is driving.  Especially girls driving more aggressively than most 20 year old men.

There is just something about it, you’re right. As much as I’m not trying to push my kids any one direction in their hobbies and activities, I am always super excited to see them enjoy the things that I would have enjoyed at their age. My parents never had the means to get us lots of fancy “stuff” as kids, but my Wife and I are more than blessed to be able to provide all sorts of fun stuff for our kids, so it’s especially fun to watch them enjoying themselves with those things. He’s my youngest Son, and really the most naturally able with the car. Just waiting to see how Baby Girl does with it next. She’s got a little bit yet before she can reach the pedal, but it won’t be long.:).
